Pearl Harbor Day

Flashback Summer: Pearl Harbor Day- old WWII 1940s propaganda poster

Today marks the 71st anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.  This military strike, "a day which will live in infamy", was what brought the US into World War II and changed the country forever.  Many other parts of the world were already involved in war, and almost 10% of the US population joined the fighting forces, bringing about a huge impact on American culture that is remembered today.

Thank you to all the men and women who served to protect their families, their country, and the innocent in World War II, and thank you to those who continue to do that today.
Your sacrifice is hugely appreciated!
