This was the outfit I wore today, and it gave me a chance to wear a couple of the new bakelite bangles I got from my grandparents as a graduation gift! It's pretty great to have new color options, I won't lie.
I upcycled this blouse from one of my mother's old shirts, and I embroidered the top. It's extremely light and comfortable, and it's one of my favorites to pair with cardigans!
I was also having a bad hair day because I didn't have a chance to set my hair last night and it was not lookin' so great. So, I did this super easy, straight-hair-friendly 'do that turned out to be amazingly hardy and maintenance-free throughout the day. With a bit of tweaking, I think it'll become one of my go-to 'dos!
Do you have a "go-to 'do"? What about it makes you love it?

I've been waiting for those, too :)
DeleteOMG that blouse is super cute and you look adorable!!
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit and the little splash of color. :) I love bangles and would wear them more often but find most bracelets to be really big on me. Plus, I sit at a computer for most of the day so they make typing kind of hard. boo.

Yeah, I have freakishly skinny wrists, so the bracelets are usually big on me, too. I just kind of keep my fingers spread all day so they won't fall off, haha.
DeleteGorgeous Bakey and blouse - and hair and skirt, too! :) Everything is so sweet, fun and beautiful. I know what you mean about the fun of having new coloured bracelets to wear. Whenever I add a new one (be it Bakelite, or more often, otherwise) to my collection, I usually wear it several times in a row (or nearly so) as I have fun seeing just how many outfits I can get it to go well with.

This is darling! And yay for new Bakelite!! You did such a great job on embroidering that top!
ReplyDeleteOne of my go-to dos is a side braid lately. Kind of ala Elsa from Frozen, but I've been doing since before Frozen. It works well with western outfits, as well as the adventurer chic I've been doing lately.

ReplyDeleteI love this blouse! I've recently caught the embroidery bug for clothing, and I'm totally going to steal this idea. What a wonderful outfit!! (And hair-do! I'm always looking for easy hot-weather 'dos)
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks so much, Juliana! I'm glad you like it! And good luck with your embroidery projects! It really does add such a great touch to clothing.
