Lavender Falls Farm

Flashback Summer: Lavender Falls Farm - Clever, Missouri

One of the best parts of summer, in my opinion, are blooming lavender fields.  They don't last long, but while they're blooming they're some of the most beautiful sights to see!  In Missouri there are only a couple lavender farms, and one of them is about 30 minutes from where I live in Clever: Lavender Falls Farm.

After driving down a winding country road and going down a steep driveway, we got to Lavender Falls.  While the farm includes whole lavender fields, I'm honestly not sure where they are in relation to the other attractions like the cafe.  However, there is a large patch of lavender in the front that you can take pictures in and buy bundles of to take home.

The cafe is a porch area strung with white lights, and the menu consists of a few appetizers, all including lavender.  My family and I ordered one of each of the three things on the menu.  There was a goat cheese and lavender honey plate, lavender hummus, and a meat and cheese plate.  We each order lavender lemonade with it. Each dish was uniquely flavored and really delicious, but I have to say the goat cheese and lavender honey plate was my favorite.  I could have eaten at least three of those just by myself!

They've also got a little shop area with handmade soaps, lotions, honey, etc.  Lots of lovely lavender things!

My sister was kind enough to take some photos for me.  While I posed among the plants I pondered how long it would take my small porch lavender plant to get as big as those... We bought a bunch of it that is now currently drying in my house.  I love smelling it every time I walk by!

  1. What a fabulous place to visit for a day trip! I love the small of lavender, and it does make for some great photos - you've got me wondering if there's one in my area that I could visit!
I love the classic dress with the headwrap, it works fabulously.

  2. That last photo is so joyful! I am not sure if we have lavender fields in the UK, France definitely does. We have some very old lavender bushes in our garden that have gone so straggly we need to replace them. I might try and find some different varieties x

  3. Gorgeous photos. I love lavender too and it turns out to be a plant that grows really easily in my garden. If yours is anything like mine the plant will be huge in no time!

    1. I'm hoping so! Mine is still small-ish, but I'm hoping it will get giant, haha! So far my mint plant is winning the size contest.

  5. I visited a lavender farm when I was in England and it was so fun too. My favourite was the lavender Earl Grey tea- did they have lavender tea at this farm?
I like how you paired your outfit with lavender accents too- subtly matching your surroundings :)

    1. I think they had lavender iced tea, because it was super hot and we're more likely to do iced tea around here anyway. Lavender Earl Grey sounds amazing!!
