I definitely have a few little fabric scraps I want to incorporate into something, and I have a new hat which matches nothing else I own (I know...) so I'm hoping to pick up a little bit of vintage fabric that goes to trim a dress or some such for a snazzy ensemble. I particularly like the contrast panels in the third picture!Franceshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08213240635054488156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7382754892322119466.post-56492411371894745602014-09-15T13:38:14.469-05:002014-09-15T13:38:14.469-05:00Great tips! You see so many photographs of ladies in the 20s-50s with coordinating accessories, matching hats and hand bags, collars and cuffs etc. which is something I don't think we see enough of in the vintage world today. These are great ways to really pull your vintage outfits together and use up all that "left over" fabric in the stash! :)
-Emilyvintagevisions27https://www.blogger.com/profile/16769861744181538664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7382754892322119466.post-63836433924865442912014-09-15T08:46:07.405-05:002014-09-15T08:46:07.405-05:00Ooooo, that's a great idea, too!!!Ooooo, that's a great idea, too!!!Emileigh https://www.blogger.com/profile/13683866769745929646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7382754892322119466.post-22376878124095896522014-09-15T07:52:15.148-05:002014-09-15T07:52:15.148-05:00Fantastic suggestions! Another great use for small pieces of fabric is to make jewelry with it (fabric covered beads, braided/woven bracelets, fabric bow earrings, etc).

♥ Jessica Witchcrafted Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02992822472797191121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7382754892322119466.post-27237382521834101892014-09-14T15:01:21.777-05:002014-09-14T15:01:21.777-05:00So true! I guess we naturally wanna show off the fabric and make a dress or a skirt out of it but why not be creative and not waste it? :) Thank you!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00708114761401013973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7382754892322119466.post-86618094857627201932014-09-12T13:11:05.918-05:002014-09-12T13:11:05.918-05:00Thank you for this post, it is very timely. I've recently come across some wonderful vintage fabric that is very narrow in width (maybe due to wartime rationing?) and I'm really wanting to get as much out of it as possible. I have more than a yard, but with its narrow width and a few stain spots, these tips/suggestions may come in very handy.

She Knits in PearlsAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14321740673038769138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7382754892322119466.post-23152675013285562022014-09-12T11:31:38.562-05:002014-09-12T11:31:38.562-05:00This is great Emileigh as there are so many pieces...This is great Emileigh as there are so many pieces out there that are one yard, especially feed sacks.
