Teaching is hard for anyone, but to face it knowing that it hits on some of your weaker points is really courageous. Way to do the strong thing and get help, and I'm glad it has gotten better for you!Emileigh https://www.blogger.com/profile/13683866769745929646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7382754892322119466.post-7825327961933758692015-04-10T09:04:52.832-05:002015-04-10T09:04:52.832-05:00It is hard to have to switch friend groups and stu...It is hard to have to switch friend groups and stuff from moving around, and it's true, we can't rely on things to stay the same forever! God works out everything for the good of those who love him, and that brings me comfort in difficult times. Circumstances may be terrible, but somehow God has the ability to heal and make good out of anything.Emileigh https://www.blogger.com/profile/13683866769745929646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7382754892322119466.post-22615518839352215622015-04-10T02:29:02.081-05:002015-04-10T02:29:02.081-05:00As the others have said, thank you for sharing you...As the others have said, thank you for sharing your trying experiences.

I think one of the hardest times in my life, that I grew significantly from, was starting my teaching career. As a shy and anxious person in general, and a perfectionist, I basically picked a career that required strength in some of my weakest areas, and was inherently imperfect even at the best of times. So the growth was huge in tackling these weak areas head-on, but it was also extremely tough to have the attention on me as much as that, and deal with negative attitudes from students at times. Not to mention the massive workload. I lost more sleep in those first 6 months than I have with a newborn, and most of my sleep was full of "school nightmares". Counselling was the answer for me too, and things got better with time.Tanithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09915557658875958630noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7382754892322119466.post-33124949667427271692015-04-08T09:22:12.855-05:002015-04-08T09:22:12.855-05:00Thank you so much for sharing Emileigh. I am so sorry you had to endure that.

I would say a time that has certainly helped me to grow stronger and more understanding of God's hand, is the Church struggles we had in the first 6 years of living in Ohio. During that time we switched Churches three times, and my heart positively ached every time we did that, as I had so many hopes and dreams built up there. But God showed me that I have to trust in Him for everything, and can't rely on something being the same 5 years hence, as only He can know the future.

"'For I know the thoughts that I think towards you,' says the LORD, 'thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.'"

Blessings,

Brigid
the Middle Sister and SingerThe Boyer Sistershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08954031354687928264noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7382754892322119466.post-92032583130551289812015-04-08T08:04:11.374-05:002015-04-08T08:04:11.374-05:00Thanks for being brave enough to comment! I'm truly sorry that you were harassed and at times made to feel so unsafe while in Egypt. Though I almost never talk about it online, I'm a rape, sexual abuse, and domestic abuse survivor and fully know how much anything of that nature sticks with one for the rest of their life.

Here's to not letting the crimes of others define us forever though and to the ways in which the most difficult experiences can, if we let them, ultimately shape us positively and help us grow into stronger people.

♥ JessicaWitchcrafted Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02992822472797191121noreply@blogger.com
