I really like the harem pants and that he considered curves a good thing. His use of luxurious fabrics are amazing as well. Thanks for the history flashback! Love it! That scene from DA truly stands out as one of my very favourites across the whole series thus far (not to mention one of my fave garments sported on the show by any of the ladies, too).

♥ Jessica Witchcrafted Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02992822472797191121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7382754892322119466.post-76873140052083022002013-03-27T07:11:06.605-05:002013-03-27T07:11:06.605-05:00I agree on the S-bend corset!!! Cool!" reaction, but a lot of it I wouldn't actually want to wear (like the costume above for his Arabian nights party; pretty, but I'm okay with just looking).
I'm glad you enjoyed it!Emileigh https://www.blogger.com/profile/13683866769745929646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7382754892322119466.post-35579233757055998852013-03-26T18:11:47.040-05:002013-03-26T18:11:47.040-05:00Poiret got rid of the S-bend corset, which in my b...Poiret got rid of the S-bend corset, which in my book makes him wonderful! That thing scares me. I find his work to either be really beautiful and something I'd love to remake or really beautiful and something I'd prefer to leave on a museum mannequin--like most lampshade skirts! I really like the pictures you have here--most of the time, the stuff you see by Poiret is late Edwardian instead of jazz age 20s. Thanks for a wonderful article!Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00038475832349982006noreply@blogger.com
