A Good Ol' Outfit Post

Flashback Summer: A Good Ol' Outfit Post

Phew.  I am still trying to recover from the semester and get settled in.  I don't have everything put away or my schedule worked out for the summer or...... Deep breath.  Let's just say I'm still working on everything.

Today I didn't do a whole lot outside the house except run a couple errands, so I went with a comfy, easy outfit.  These trousers are my first vintage style, sort of a 30s beach pyjama look.  I found these large old Forever 21 pants in a flea market, and I made some sizing adjustments, and oilá!  I had a vintage-style pair of trousers!  I'm really excited about checking those off my list because I was actually getting quite tired of wearing skirts every day.  I needed options.

Then this sweater came to me via a friend.  She found it in a thrift store and took it home to wash.  However, she dried it without thinking about its wool content, and it promptly shrunk to an unwearable size for her. Thus...... It has landed in my hands!  It's a nearly perfect fit for me, and I found out from the tag that it really is vintage, I'm guessing around 1950s or 60s.  You saw me wear it on my floor camping trip, and I thought I'd share the story of it now!

As you can see, I'm still working on figuring out my new camera and places to take pictures in my new location.  Thanks for your patience as I get everything figured out!
